What does the Linear Inequalities Grapher do?
The Linear Inequalities Grapher plots a system of linear inequalities you enter and shades the region that satisfies all of them at once. It lets you see the feasible region visually, which helps you check whether a point or your hand-drawn graph matches the correct solution area for that question.
How do I read the shaded region the tool produces?
The shaded area shows every point that satisfies all the inequalities you entered, using ≤ or ≥ boundaries, which the tool always draws as solid lines. Compare this against your own sketch to check your boundary positions, shading direction, and axis scale, remembering that a strict inequality (< or >) in the exam still needs a dashed boundary, which this simplified tool does not show.
Is using this grapher enough, or do I still need to draw the graph myself in the exam?
You must still draw the graph by hand in Paper 2, with correctly scaled axes, solid or dashed lines, and clear shading, since these earn marks on their own. The grapher is only a study aid for checking your answer afterwards, it cannot be used in the exam and does not award marks.
