Using both languages
Every question appears in Malay and English, so if a term is unclear in one language you can check the other. Our lessons are in English, and your teacher will point out the Malay term for a concept where it helps you read the paper faster.

Can I write my answers in either English or Bahasa Melayu?
The question paper itself is printed bilingually, with the English and Bahasa Melayu versions of each question set side by side, so you can read whichever language you understand better. Numbers, symbols and working in maths are the same in both languages, so your answer script does not depend on choosing one language over the other.
Why do some maths terms look different in the English and Bahasa Melayu columns?
Standard maths terms are translated consistently, for example "gradient" appears as "kecerunan", and "quadratic equation" as "persamaan kuadratik" so learning a term in one language usually gives you its pair in the other. Getting comfortable with both versions of key terms means you are never stuck if you glance at the "wrong" column under exam pressure.
Should I check both language versions if a question confuses me?
Yes, if a phrase in one language feels ambiguous, glancing at the other column can clear up exactly what is being asked, since both versions describe the same mathematical question. This is especially useful for word problems, where an unfamiliar term in one language might be a word you already know well in the other.
